Life story Richard S. Hare, age 59, of Madison, Indiana, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 15, 1954, in Madison, to Dr. Frank and Marjorie Cornell Hare. He was a 1972 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and attended DePauw University. He was a journeyman electrician in the Florida Keys for 30 years and loved the sun and the laid back atmosphere of the Keys. He is survived by one daughter, Kris Bachmann of Fairhaven, California; two sons, Richard Gabriel (Jen) Hare, of Bloomington, Indiana, and Joshua (Erin) Hare of Indianapolis, Indiana; two granddaughters, Jazmine Fleming and Maggie Bachmann; three sisters, Sara Hare of Madison, Bonnie Hare (Richard Ice) of Madison, and Mary Sutton (Tom Roberts) of Portland, Oregon; and one brother, Dwight Hare (Stephanie Bersma) of Del Mar, California. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Marjorie Cornell Hare Nursing Scholarship at the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County.
