Life story Rita J. (Forman) Rodgers, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on December 10, 2006 at home. She was born on May 29, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl E. and Mary Lee (Drane) Forman. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and worked at Servomation of Madison and at KarmelKorn of Louisville. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devout catholic who was very much a faithful servant to God. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, playing games with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, singing and dancing. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Louisville. She was also a member of the St. Patrick's Choir and Alter Society in Madison. Survivors include four daughters: Deborah K. Rodgers of Greenville, IN, Winifred (Windy) L. Inskeep of Madison, Mary E. (Issit) Pike of Louisville, Bernice M. (Tissit) Craig of Madison; two sisters, Patricia Thomason of Louisville and Beatrice Smith of North Port, Florida and two brothers, Rudy Forman and Carl E. Forman of Louisville; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and the thirteenth is expected in April, 2007. Also survived by Jo Ann Griffin, Danny Smith, and Bill Smith and many more special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin F, who passed away in 1964, two sisters, Helen and Shirley Foreman; and three brothers, Jay, John and Michael Forman. Father John Meyer will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 PM Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Following cremation, graveside services will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Louisville on Wednesday at 12 Noon. Friends and family may call from 2:30 to 6:30 PM Tuesday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to WHAS Crusade for Children or Lifetime Resources.
