Life story Mr. Robert Wayne Ash, age 60, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Born November 2, 1944 in Trenton, Ohio, he was the son of Shelby Ash, who preceded him in death. Mr. Ash worked as a brickmason. He served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne during the Viet Nam War. Survivors include one son, Robert L. Ash of Milton; one daughter, Jeannette Ash of Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren: Sarah, Roxie, Chelsea, Robert, Whitney, Jordan, Brennan and Austin. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2005 in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, with interment following in the cemetery. The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, will conduct military funeral honors, including a flag presentation, twenty-one gun salute and the playing of Taps.
