Life story Robert Lee "Bob" Adams, age 70, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Norton Hospital Brownsboro in Louisville, Kentucky. Born April 5, 1949 in Louisville, he was the son of Edgar L. and Mary Zelda (Blanton) Adams. On April 21, 1973, he was united in marriage to Sallie (Sizemore) Adams in Madison. Since he was fifteen, he started working in a Marina and has ever since. He has owned and operated Adam's Marina/Sailor Bob's Marine for many years where he was also a boat builder. He enjoyed telling stories, fishing, boating, singing, traveling and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sallie of Madison; his daughters: China Pittenger and her husband, Bill of Aurora, Indiana and Christen Adams and her husband, Seth Hengstler of Franklin, Ohio; his son, Robert B. Adams and his wife, Miranda of Madison; his father, Edgar L. Adams of Madison; his brothers: Raymond L. Adams and his wife, Pat and Ronald L. Adams and his wife, Susan, all of Trimble County, Kentucky; his sisters: Jennifer K. Jackson and her husband, John of Hanover, Indiana and Kathy Humphrey; five grandchildren: Ashdyn Adams, Dakota Adams, Raina Pittenger, Aiden Pittenger, and Xander Pittenger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Zelda Adams. Mr. Dave Adams will conduct funeral services at 6:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison's Hilltop. The family invites friends to be prepared to tell stories about Bob during the service. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday.
