Roger Allen Holsinger, 73, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Milton, Kentucky, and the son of the late William H. Holsinger and Nellie Mae (Cooper) Bressler, was born on July 14, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio. For 39 years, he was a union boilermaker working mainly in Ashland, Kentucky and Milton, Kentucky until his retirement from Boilermakers Local #105 in 2006. On January 5, 1980, he was united in marriage to the former Betty L. Reeb in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and they enjoyed 41 wonderful years together until her passing. In his spare time, he loved working on vehicles and restoring cars, watching "The Big Bang Theory" on television, eating at Skyline Chili, and spending time with his family. He was very caring, loving, and devoted to his grandchildren. Mr. Holsinger passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. His life will be cherished by his daughter: Sarah Beth Craig of Madison: his grandchildren: Emily Tingle, Katelyn Craig, and Mathew Anderson; his great niece: Kelsey LeAnn Fox; his sister: Willowdean of North Carolina; his great grandson: Jameson McClain, and he was anxiously awaiting the birth of another great grandson: Grayson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father: Donald Bressler, his wife, Betty Holsinger who passed away on May 20, 2021, and his brothers: Eugene Holsinger and Harry Robert "Bobby" Holsinger. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky, with interment to follow. Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
