Rowena C. May, age 65, of Bedford, Kentucky, and the daughter of the late Vance Nathanial and Ethel Mae (Horine) Aldridge, was born on March 28, 1956, in Carrollton, Kentucky She was united in marriage to Charles May and was a homemaker. She was a member of The Hills Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Campbellsburg, Kentucky and in her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading. Mrs. May passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Sycamore Heights Nursing Home in Louisville, Kentucky.

Her life will be cherished by her sister: Kathy Rison of La Grange, Kentucky; her nieces: Pamela Parson of Pendleton, Kentucky and Christy Rison of Worthville, Kentucky; her nephew: Tommy "TJ" Rison, Jr. of La Grange; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her sister: Gertrude Aldridge; and her brothers: Rickie, Phillip, Stanley, and Michael Aldridge.

Reverend Nate Roemer, Reverend Bobby Wade, and Reverend Jerry Knox will conduct funeral services at 12:00 PM Monday, August 2, 2021 at The Hills Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 9255 Main Street, Campbellsburg, Kentucky with interment to follow in Campbellsburg Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the The Hills Apostolic Pentecostal Church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Rowena May Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
