Life story Mr. Roy L. Sash, age 75, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence. Born September 23, 1935 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, he was the son of John and Myrtle Neafus Sash. Mr. Sash formerly worked for the Gorsuch Foundry in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and as an independent truck driver for many years, retiring in 1981. He had lived in Indiana, Kentucky and San Antonio, Texas. He attended the Open Door Baptist Church in Deputy, Indiana, and was a member of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, Madison. Survivors include his wife, the former Donna Lindsey, to whom he was married on December 29, 1979 in Jeffersonville, Indiana; three sons: Terry Sosh of Breckinridge County and Tony Sosh of Burlington, Kentucky, and Donnie Sash of Louisville, Kentucky; three daughters: Gina Herren of Corbin County, Kentucky, Shaun Scott of Seymour, Indiana and Lori Sash of Georgetown, Indiana; one stepson, Martin Lindsey of Jeffersonville; two aunts: Mary Elder of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Pauline Stinnett of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; twenty-three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Beatrice Sosh; one half-brother, Raymond Sosh; and one half-sister, Gertrude Neafus. The Reverend Brad Enevoldsen will conduct funeral services at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Chapel at Grandview Memorial Gardens, with interment to follow there. Jefferson Post #9, American Legion will conduct graveside services. Friends and family may call at the Chapel at Grandview Memorial Gardens from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Tuesday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Open Door Baptist Church. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home and the Chapel at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
