Life story Mrs. Sadie Dolores Youngblood, 79, of Madison, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born Saturday, July 23, 1932 in Hamilton County, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Sadie (Miller) Green. Mrs. Youngblood graduated from Ripley County, Indiana, High School. She retired from the former Joyce Shoe Factory, had previously worked for J.C. Penny at its former store in downtown Madison and the former Ingles Drug Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time baking, crocheting, sewing, and taking care of flowers. She really loved her animals. Survivors include her two daughters: Georgette McKay and her husband, Kevin of Madison; and LaVerne Adams of Madison; her son, George Youngblood and his wife, Debbie of Madison; two grandchildren, Ashdyn and Dakota Adams; two step grandchildren, Michelle Monroe and Nathan E. Monroe; and a step great grandson, Nathan C. Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George A. Youngblood, to whom she married on Saturday, October 31, 1953 in Versailles, Indiana and who passed away on January 21, 2000; her parents who raised her, George and Mabel (Jolly) Hyatt; a brother, John Green; two half sisters, Verna Spotts and Ruth Phoenix; a half brother, Francis Phoenix; and a step brother, Vincent Hyatt. The Reverend Jeff Jones will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Lytle Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.
