Life story Mr. Harold "Scott" Conrad, age 50, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his residence. Born March 23, 1960 in Kankakee, Illinois, he was the son of Patrick and Alice (Nelson) Conrad. Mr. Conrad was employed as a superintendent for CL Coatings at Dow Corning in Carrollton, Kentucky for nearly twenty years where he did painting, sandblasting and fireproofing work. He was a member of the Sons of AMVETS and Special Olympics Bowling in Monticello, Indiana. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching "The Bears" play football, camping, spending time in the kitchen cooking for his many friends and family, and taking care of the many dogs he and his wife rescued over the past ten years. He also enjoyed being a husband, dad and grandpa. Survivors include his wife, the former Tammy Weaver, to whom he was married on October 25, 2001; two sons: Dustin Conrad of Turners Station, Kentucky, and Blake Dulin of Francesville, Indiana; one daughter, Britney Weaver of Monticello, Indiana; his father and step-mother, Patrick and Sue Conrad of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two grandchildren: Adrianne and Madden; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends; and his long-time close friend, Yogie. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Alice and Marvin Manns. The Reverend Scott E. Kollmann will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Port Royal, Kentucky, Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Saturday, October 9, 2010 and from 12 Noon to 1:00PM on Sunday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
