Obituary

Sharon Lynn Wilson, age 73, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of Harold and Audrey (Jester) Harmon, was born on October 22, 1950, in Vevay, Indiana. She grew up in Switzerland County and was a 1968 graduate of Switzerland County High School. In the early 1970's, she moved to Madison, Indiana where she worked at the Steer Restaurant until 1988. At that time, she took an accounting position at Arvin Sango where she worked until her retirement in 2016. On December 31, 2004, she was united in marriage to David Wilson and they enjoyed 19 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Lamb, Indiana. Sharon was always on the go with a smile on her face. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, visiting the Casino, and looked forward to having the family over on every occasion. Of all the things in her life, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed every minute of time with them. She also loved her dogs, Bentley and Bailey. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her residence in Madison, with her loving family by her side. Her life will be cherished by her husband, David Wilson of Madison; her children: Dustin Peters and his wife, Susan of Hanover, Indiana, Angie Handlon and her husband, Kyle of Madison, Michelle Lanham and her companion, Chris Brawner of Madison, and Michael Roark and his wife, Kim of Madison; her mother, Audrey Marsh of Vevay; her step-daughter, Robin Teeter of London, Kentucky; her sisters: Diana Brown of Vevay, and Judy Bailey and her husband, Jack of East Enterprise, Indiana; her brother, Charles Harmon and his companion, Judy Ballinger of Canaan, Indiana; her grandchildren: Jalen Peters, Brady Peters, Trent Roark, Carson Roark, Addison Roark, Devin Sullivan, Paytton Lanham, Nick Bleuel, and Kenny Bleuel; her step grandchildren: Cody, Kent, and Mallory; her great-grandchildren: Ne'Avah, Rymidi, and Eglantine. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Harmon; her granddaughter, Caitlin Roark; her brother-in-law, Denny Brown; and her step-father, Marvin Marsh. Pastor Mike Barnes will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Friends and family may visit at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Union Baptist Church. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
