Life story Mrs. Shirley V. Grey, age 84, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1929 in Madison, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel Furbush Sauer. Mrs. Grey attended Madison High School, was employed at the Muscatatuck State School in Butlerville for several years before retiring in 1988 as an attendant at the Madison State Hospital. She was very active as a member of Faith Alliance Church in Madison, and enjoyed entertaining her family at home. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Marjorie and A.W. Jackson of Madison; two sons and daughters-in-law: Warren, Jr. and Judy Gayle of Madison, and Randy and Marty Gayle of Madison; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Warren M. Gayle, Sr. in April, 1963; her second husband, Joseph L. Grey in April, 2003; one sister, Marjorie Morgan; and one brother, Kenneth Sauer. Private family services will be held. There will be no visitation. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army or Faith Alliance Church.
