Life story Stephen Roy Kinman, age 33, of Vevay, formerly of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. He was born on July 14, 1974 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Stephen Douglas and Rita Elbert Kinman. Roy was a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and a former member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post #9. He enjoyed music, telling jokes and talking with people. He loved to collect baseball cards, especially the Chicago White Sox. Survivors include his parents, Steve and Rita Kinman of Madison; his brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Angie Kinman of Gridley, Illinois; his step-grandfather, James Brierly of Hanover; his step-grandmother, Harriett Elbert of Olive Hurst, California; his nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Elaina, Dawson and Ethan Kinman of Gridley, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Ruby Brierly and Denver Elbert; and his paternal grandparents, Hazel and Roy Kinman. Graveside services will be conducted by Chaplain Don Maddox at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Springdale Cemetery, where interment will follow. Friends and family may call from5 to 8 PM on Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made to either the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
