Life story Thelma Lucille Cortner, age 95, of Stockton, California, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at her residence. Born April 20, 1923 in Jefferson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Clarence Ebby Baker and Elizabeth (Compton) Stucker. Mrs. Cortner worked as a beautician, sold Avon products, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and playing games. She will be sadly missed by one daughter, Rebecca Syphers of Stockton; one son, William Wright of Knightstown, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Cortner; one daughter, Donna Wright, and one son, Jack Wright. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 West Main Street, Downtown Madison, with interment to follow in Mt.
