Life story Mrs. Virginia F. Burgett, age 83, of Hanover, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 30, 1927 in Portland, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Seaton H. and Nola M. (Roberts) Hodges. Mrs. Burgett was a graduate of the Portland High School, a homemaker and had moved to Hanover in December 2010. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law: Doug and Marie Hodges of Hanover; one sister, Betty Kirk of Middleburg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Burgett, who passed away in 1976; and five brothers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Central Time Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Wilkerson and Wiseman Funeral Home, Portland, Tennessee.
