Life story Mr. William P. Cole, age 89, formerly of Madison, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Cross Timbers Care Center in Flower Mound, Texas. Born August 2, 1920 in Madison, he was the son of James Decker and Goldie Alora Richey Cole. Mr. Cole retired in 1984 from Dunlap and Company, Columbus, Indiana as the business manager. He was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church, Union Lodge #2, F. and A.M., the Shrine, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, and the Madison Kiwanis Club. He received a 50-year membership pin from both Union Lodge #2, F. and A.M. and the Madison Kiwanis Club. He moved to the Dallas, Texas area in June 2001. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Robert Webb of Bedford, Kentucky; one granddaughter: Beth Ann Brown of Bedford; his cousin and caregiver, Billie J. Bard of Lewisville, Texas; nieces and nephews, including John Cole of Hanover; great nieces and nephews, including Richard Ice of Madison; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Luzeneth Fern Cole, who passed away on September 8, 1996; and one grandson, Robert Cole. The Reverend David Young will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2010 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday. The Madison Kiwanis Club will conduct memorial services at 7:30 PM Tuesday, and Union Lodge #2, F. and A.M. will conduct memorial services at 7:45 PM Tuesday. Both will be held at the funeral home.
