Life story Mr. William M. Evans, age 64, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Hickory Creek of Madison. He was born on October 25, 1942 in Madison, the son of William A. and Elizabeth R. Walker Evans. Mr. Evans retired from the Madison Consolidated High School in 2006 after 36 years of service. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, and caring for his yard. Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Evans of Madison; one daughter, Janet Logsdon of Madison; one son, William Lee Evans of Carlisle, Indiana; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Willard Jenkins of Chelsea, Indiana; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on April 7, 1999. Preacher Jimmy Butters will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, September 14, and from 11 AM until time of services on Saturday.
