Obituary

Life story Mr. William "Bill" A. Stucker, age 85, of Hanover, formerly of Largo, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on February 6, 1928 in Saluda Township, Jefferson County, Indiana, the son of Forrest "Mike" and Mereda (Hall) Stucker. Mr. Stucker was a graduate of the former Saluda High School. He worked for thirty-two years for the Kroger Company, serving as the manager of the Madison store for many years. He and his wife then moved to Largo, where from 1978-2000 they owned and operated the Convenient Food Mart. He recently moved back to Hanover. Mr. Stucker was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Tampa Bay Rays baseball teams. He was the Keeper of the Flag, Coffee Master and a security guard for the East Bay Oak's Retirement Park in Largo. He also enjoyed playing cards, Shuffleboard, Bingo, bowling and golf. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida, and a former member of the Madison First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Brian White of Hanover; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert A. and Kathy Stucker of Largo, and Randall L. "Randy" and Patsy Stucker of Clearwater; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Stucker of Madison; one sister, Jessie F. Henley of Madison; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Catherine Lucille Berry, who died on March 20, 2008; one son, Jerry W. Stucker; one brother, Forrest L. Stucker; two sisters: Betty J. Korte and Catherine L. Korte; and one grandchild. The Reverend Chuck Justice will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 15 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lights and Sirens to Remember 5k Walk/Run, care of Lytle Funeral Chapel.
