Mrs. Berdina Yvonne Buchanan, age 81, of Bedford, Kentucky, and the daughter of the late Clarence Albert and Hazel Elizabeth (Hudgins) McGuire, was born on August 20, 1942, in Grove City, Pennsylvania. On April 10, 1970, she was united in marriage to James Michael "Jim" Buchanan in Jeffersonville, Indiana. For many years, she was a secretary at the General Butler State Park and Resort in Carrollton, Kentucky. She attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Carrollton. Mrs. Buchanan passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Signature Healthcare of Carrollton. Her life will be cherished by her husband of 53 years, Jim of Bedford, Kentucky; her children: Kena Ray Buchanan, of Carrollton and Christy Cagle, of Chelsea, Oklahoma; her grandson: Jordan Lee Buchanan; and her daughter-in-law: Crystal Buchanan of Carrollton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kelly Buchanan who passed away on February 19, 2014 and her sister, Jackie Willhoite. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road, Madison with interment to follow.
