Betty J. (Adams) Gray

Life story Betty J. Gray, age 77, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana. Born May 5, 1940 in Carroll County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Hubert and Lena (Pyles) Adams. On October 22, 1978, she was united in marriage to Keith Gray at North Madison Baptist Church in Madison. She moved to Madison in her twenties and was a homemaker. She was a member of River Valley Community Church and also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She will be sadly missed by her husband of Madison; her step-daughter: Cynthia Carol Gray-Carter of Madison; her sisters: Lois Marshall and her husband, Ron of Madison, Gee DeVeary and her husband, Roy of Charlestown, Indiana, and Thelma Jackson of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters: Virginia Batts, Hazel Baxter, Dottie Harmon, Della Adams, and Georgia Burgess. Pastor Shane Brunner will conduct Funeral Services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at River Valley Community Church, 2535 Clifty Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends and family may call at River Valley Community Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017, and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday.
