Betty (Davis) Hammond

Mrs. Betty Jane Hammond, age 84, of Hanover, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Lewis and Fay (Taylor) Davis, was born on August 6, 1936, in Milton, Kentucky. She graduated from Central School and was a homemaker and farmer all of her life. On September 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to Bill L. Hammond in Madison, Indiana. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and baking. Mrs. Hammond passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her home.

Her life will be cherished by her granddaughter, Michelle Stevens and her husband, Josh of Pembrook, Massachusetts; her brothers: Arthur Davis and his wife, Brenda of Madison and John Davis and his wife, Betty of Madison; her great-grandchildren: Noreen and Adelynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Bob Hammond, her daughter, Sherri Hammond, and her brother, Toby Davis.

Private services and interment took place at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
