Bonnie Hopper Obituary

Life story Bonnie L. Hopper, age 70, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at King's Daughters' Hospital. Born March 22, 1949 in Madison, she was the daughter of Alvin Durlin Harrison and Pauline Juanita (Farrell) Harrison-Brandon. Mrs. Hopper was a 1967 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She retired after fifteen years of service as a patrol inspector for Madison Precision Products, Inc. She formerly worked for the Kawneer Company of Carrollton, Kentucky, the former Rogers Drug Store and U.S. Shoe, both in Madison, and owned Bonnie's Ceramics and Gifts for many years. On February 14, 1981, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Hopper in Madison. Mrs. Hopper was a member of First Baptist Church, and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, shopping, cooking and baking for others, helping people, swinging in her yard swing, the Christmas season and her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michele Hopper of Hanover, Indiana; three daughters: Julie Davidson and her companion, Drew Roberts of Indianapolis, Indiana, Teresa Watterson and her husband, Andy of Madison, and Sonia Rhye of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; one half-sister, Amanda Garbrough and her husband, David of Charlestown, Indiana; three grandchildren: Kaylee Serna of Garden Grove, California, and Allison Blankenship and McKensie Rhye, both of Beaver Dam; two great grandchildren: Genesis Frisque of Garden Grove and Gunner Cash of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy Thornton; one brother, Kenny Harrison; and one son-in-law, Anthony Rhye. Reverend Randy Crutchfield will conduct funeral services at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 West Main Street, Downtown Madison, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
