Carl Morgan, age 91, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Carl B. Morgan and Emily Boldery, was born on February 2, 1934, in Madison. On June 5, 1956, he was inducted into the United States Army where he served on the third U.S. Infantry Regiment, traditionally known as The Old Guard at Fort Myers, Virginia. On June 4, 1958, he transferred to the United States Army Reserves where he faithfully served until he was honorably discharged on May 31, 1962. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Cincinnati Reds, and Indiana University Basketball especially during the Bobby Knight years. In his spare time, he loved going to the fire company cabin that overlooks the river, occasionally savoring a Wiedemann Fine Beer with friends, and spending time at the firehouse. Mr. Morgan passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Hickory Creek at Madison, on the day of the semi-annual fish fry hosted by Fair Play Fire Company No. 1.
