Catherine Michelle Stephan

Life story Catherine Michelle Stephan, age 47, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Carl and Sharon (Bartlett) Cox, was born on March 26, 1973, in Madison. She was a caretaker and worked in home healthcare for the last several years. On April 25, 2015, she was united in marriage to Devin Sawyer Stephan at the Indian Kentuck Baptist Church near Canaan, Indiana. She loved being around people and was an outgoing person who often lit up the room. She was a devoted and caring mother to her children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren more than anything else. Mrs. Stephan passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her life will be cherished by her husband Devin of Madison; her children: Stephane Ashcraft of Madison, Kristen Noel of Madison, Aristeo Olvera, of New Liberty, Kentucky, and Gabino Olvera, of New Liberty; her grandchildren: Jayden, Adysen, Donovan, and Malaki; her brothers: Aaron Perkins and J. J. Perkins, both of Carrollton, Kentucky; her sisters: Ginger Cox, of Milton, Kentucky, Gigit Pantoja, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Noonkester, of Bringhurst, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pastor Brye Welty will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Catherine Stephan Memorial Fund. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
