Charles Ray Martin

Life story Charles Ray Martin, age 34, of Lexington, Indiana, and the son of Charles Ray Martin and Cynthia Ann (Esch) Hardin, was born on March 26, 1986, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, was a very kind soul who always looked for the better in others, and was always willing to help those in need. Ray Martin passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His life will be cherished by his children: Sophia Martin and Skyler Hoffman, both of Madison; his mother, Cynthia Ann Hardin and her husband, Chris of Lexington; his father, Charles Ray Martin of Somerset, Kentucky; his step-brother, Chris Hardin and his wife, Alexis of Lexington; his step-sister, Shelby Gay and her husband, Trevor of Hanover, Indiana; his half-sister, Sadie Martin of Somerset, Kentucky; his cousins, Richard Pyles of Lexington, and Amanda, Katelynn, and Tori Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio; his uncles: John Esch of Madison and Doug Esch of Cincinnati; his aunt: Gabby Martin and her husband, Gary of Cincinnati; his grandmother: Ruth Ann Walters of Cincinnati; and his great grandmother: Edna Walters of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Esch who passed away on March 30, 2020; his aunt, Susan Pyles; and his great grandfather, Howard Walters. At this time, no services will be held. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes or below.
