David William Phillips

Mr. David William Phillips, age 76, of Deputy, Indiana, entered this life June 18, 1948 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Floyd Phillips Sr. and Katherine Crider Phillips. A member of the class of 1966, David attended Deputy High School. He was raised in Deputy where he spent his whole life on the family farm. David was united in marriage on May 30, 1969 to Donna Lee Buckley. He was baptized in 1966 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained faithful until the end. He enjoyed gardening, collecting arrowheads, spending time with family and friends and talking to others about the Bible. David died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Aperian Care in Hanover, Indiana.

A Loving Family

David will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna Lee Buckley Phillips of Deputy, Indiana; his daughter, Traci Phillips Rowlett and grandson Aiden Rowlett, of Deputy, Indiana; his brother, Donald Phillips (Veronica) of Deputy, Indiana; his brother, Ronald Phillips (Silvia) of Deputy, Indiana; his brother, Robert Phillips, of Deputy, Indiana; his sister, Carol “Sue” Boldery (Joey) of Deputy, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Allen Phillips Sr., died August 4, 2002; his mother, Katherine Crider Phillips, died September 3, 2016; his sister, Marjorie Ludwig, died January 5, 2008; his brother, Floyd Allen Phillips Jr., died October 31, 2022.
