Diana Jean Wehner-McLaughlin

Life story Diana Jean Wehner-McLaughlin, age 79, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Kenneth and Kathryn (Ford) Wehner, Sr., was born on August 3, 1941 in Madison. She was a 1959 graduate of Madison High School and retired as a vice-president of the former Paoli First National Bank of Paoli, Indiana in 1992. She was formerly employed by the Madison Bank and Trust Company from 1959-1972. She lived in Florida for twenty-six years and worked in banks there, South Carolina and French Lick, Indiana, before returning to Madison in 2015. On November 27, 1993, she was united in marriage to Bill McLaughlin. She was a member of Wirt Baptist Church, Madison Elks Lodge #524 and the Major Samuel Woodfill Post #9, American Legion, Madison. She loved the ocean, where she enjoyed fishing, shrimping, and the beach, and she also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Wehner-McLaughlin passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Her life will be cherished by her sons: Charles Eric Harrell of French Lick, and Jonathan Brent Harrell of Greenwood, Indiana; three sisters: Barbara Ann Stahl of Franklin, Indiana, Marilyn Kay Wehner and Joan Elaine Wehner, both of Madison; three brothers: Kenneth Wesley Wehner, Jr. and his wife, Polly, James William Wehner and Thomas Ford Wehner and his wife, Jackie, all of Madison; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of donors choice. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes or below.
