Donald Cutler Obituary

Life story Mr. Donald B. Cutler, age 89, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Nathanael Rust and Dorothy (Donald) Cutler, began this earthly life on June 13, 1931 and all the angels in heaven rejoiced the day he bowed his knee and surrendered his life to Christ Jesus as his Lord on April 11, 2000. On Thursday, December 10, 2020, he passed into eternal life. He was the middle son of Nathanael Rust and Dorothy Donald Cutler. He attended the University of Vermont where he met the love of his life, Beulah, and on June 18, 1955, they were united in holy matrimony for 62 years. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force overseas in Morocco. Over the years, he was an engineer at Allis-Chalmers, Dresser Clark Company, and had most recently retired from the Rexnord Corporation. Don and Beulah were blessed with four children. He was a deeply devoted husband and loving father. Don had a kind and generous heart with a faithful and steadfast spirit. He made things and people better just by being around! He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it be with wood or stained glass or making gifts for others. He was continually fixing, improving, and building in order to enrich the lives of others. He truly had a servants heart. Don attended Cornerstone Community Fellowship for ten years, where he loved music, worshipping God, and his church family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him! He will especially be missed by his three surviving children: Sage, Scottie, & Sandy; his eight grandchildren: Nathanael Sage, Samuel Scott, James McGinn, and Andrew Bush Cutler, and Sebree Elizabeth, Sage Michael, David Tate, and Beau Zechariah Turner; one surviving brother, Peter Cutler; and eight nieces and nephews: Susie, Trip, Rick, Peggy, Dee, Allen, Matthew and Jill. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rusty, his daughter Donna, and his wife Beulah. Dr. Scott Murphy will conduct memorial services at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, on Madison's hilltop. The memorial service will also be live-streamed online at lytlewelty.com. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Beyond the Reef Foundation and the Life Choices Clinic.
