Donna S. Easton

Donna S. Easton, age 65, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Hanover, Indiana, and the daughter of the late John Robert and Pauline Mae (Bruce) Easton, was born on April 11, 1959, in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was raised on a farm near Chelsea, Indiana and graduated from Southwestern High School. For many years, she was the bartender at the Madison Country Club before becoming a certified nursing assistant. Throughout her life, she has worked at several places as a CNA including Muscatatuck State Developmental Center and most recently at Charlestown Place in New Albany. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, watching murder mysteries on television, and spending time loving on her dogs, especially Rooter and Bobby. Ms. Easton passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at her residence.

Her life will be cherished by her sons: Shawn Hertz, of Hanover, and Robbie Jones, of North Vernon, Indiana; her companion of many years, Duke Creagh of New Albany; her grandchildren: Kaylee Hertz, Hannah Mae Hertz, and Annabelle Jones; her great grandchildren: Easton Hertz, Amelia Hertz, and Sylvia; her brother: John Easton, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; and her sister: Diane Barron, of Baltimore, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Easton, and her grandparents, Getty and Mary Bruce, Guy Easton, and Kate Baker.

Pastor JD Traylor will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2024 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Chelsea. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday.
