Donnie "Don" Ray Bowling, age 71, of Versailles, Indiana, and the son of the late Sherman and Vivian (Caudill) Bowling, was born on August 28, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, Kentucky, and worked at Craybill's printing for sixteen years. Don began his career in construction working with his father and remained dedicated to the trade throughout much of his life. On August 8, 1996, he was united in marriage to Julianna "Juli" (McElroy) Bowling, and they enjoyed almost 30 wonderful years together. Don had a passion for music and played the drums in several local bands. In his spare time, he enjoyed building model cars and playing VR. Mr. Bowling passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Don's life will be cherished by his wife, Juli Bowling of Versailles, Indiana; his children: Christopher Bowling of Union, Kentucky, Ryan Bowling of Union, Kentucky, Sarah Palma and her husband, Michael of Canaan, Indiana, and Nicholas Miller of Versailles, Indiana; his grandchildren: Keegan, Karagen "Kara", Michael, Wade, Camron, Lea, and Blake; and one great granddaughter: Blair. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
