Doris Jean Durand, age 85, of Milton, Kentucky, and the daughter of the late Claude and Bertha (Craig) Law, was born on October 24, 1938, in her home in Milton, Kentucky. On August 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Louis Morton Durand in Madison, Indiana. She was a homemaker for many years until her children were grown. Then she became a home health aide where she loved the many patients she cared for. She was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and the Trimble County Homemaker Club. She enjoyed crocheting, talking on the phone with many friends, and even watching the same television show with the other person on the phone. She also loved the many children she babysat dearly. Mrs. Durand passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Her life will be cherished by her children: Kenny Durand and his wife, Jennifer, of Madison, Vicky Westrick and her husband, Jerry of Milton, and Monty Durand, of Milton; her brother: Larry Law, of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren: Robert Patrick, Amanda Durand, Megan Durand, Tiffany Hensley, and Maverick Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Morton Durand who passed away on June 24, 1993, and several siblings.
Private Graveside Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Moffett Cemetery in Milton, with interment to follow.
