Life story Dorothy L. Craig, age 79, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. Born March 26, 1938 in Scottsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Herbert and Bertha Ellen (Niccum) Graves. She was a homemaker but also worked at Madison Consolidated Schools for 3 years and Clifty Convalescent for 7 1/2 years. She was a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church and she enjoyed doing ceramics and canning. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kathy Phillips, of Hanover; her sons: Adam Craig, Tim Craig and his wife, Christine, and Barry Craig and his wife, Annette, all of Madison; her sister: Pat Hevline, of Milton, Kentucky; her brother, Larry Graves of Madison; her grandchildren: Angie Eschmann, Amanda Kayse, Jessica Nunez, Amber Griffin, Logan Craig, Nick Craig, Nathan Craig, Mitch Craig, Grant Craig, Megan Dudding, and Logan Trowbridge; her great grandchildren: Bailey Wynn, Gavin McCormick, Adrielle Lock, Brayden Lucas, Isabelle Kayse, Brynnly Kayse, Bryleigh Kate Craig, Beckham Eschmann, Gwendoline Nunez, and Lakelynn Dudding; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Craig, her son, Bryan Craig; her sisters: Laura C. Jones, Virginia Reeves, Barbara Schiphorst, and Sudonna Gross; and her brothers: George, Charles, and Noble Graves. Reverend Anthony Kasper will conduct graveside services at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 US 421 North, Madison, Indiana with burial to follow. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
