Dorothy May Hodge, age 93, of Lexington, Indiana, and the daughter of the late George Dewey and Rosie May (Smith) Cooper, was born on May 13, 1929, in Madison, Indiana. She was a homemaker and worked on the farm throughout her life. She enjoyed fishing, making quilts, canning, and getting ready for winter. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ms. Hodge passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at her residence in Lexington.
Her life will be cherished by her children: Honey Bolton of Lexington, James Hodge of Deputy, Indiana, and Roy Hodge of Crothersville, Indiana; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her sons: Jerry Hodge and Smokey Hodge; her sister, Mary Wise Chambers, several half brothers and sisters; and her infant twin sons: Terry and William.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. Inurnment will take place at the Dupont Cemetery at a later date.
