Dorothy G. McHugh

Life story Dorothy G. McHugh, 72, of Madison, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1944, in Islip, N.Y. She worked as a laundress in laundry mats. She enjoyed animals, video games and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Charnow of Coran, N.Y; one son, Paul McHugh of Madison; one sister, Elizabeth Pesche of Lyndhurst, N.Y.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter James McHugh; her father, William Michael Perkins; and two sisters, Mildred Mallot and Frances Dimase. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at The Well Community Church in Bedford, Ky. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Kaitlyn's Hope.
