Douglas A. Nixon

Life story Douglas A. Nixon, age 60, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born January 12, 1957 in Milan, Indiana, he was the son of Vearl A. and Mary E. (Pergram) Nixon. Mr. Nixon was a self-employed painter. He moved to Madison from North Vernon in 2004. He will be sadly missed by one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth "Beth" and Will Preston of Lexington, Kentucky; his mother, of Madison; two sisters: Myra Nixon and Mary Jane Irons, both of Madison; three brothers: William M. Nixon and John D. Nixon, both of Bedford, Kentucky, and Vearl A. Nixon, Jr., Madison; one step-brother, Billy Seal of Ohio; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father on October 31, 2014; and two step-brothers: Robert R. Seal and Timmy D. Seal. No services will be held.
