Ethel M. "Peggy" (Knighten) Crutchfield

Life story Ethel M. "Peggy" Knighten Crutchfield, age 89, of Cullman, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord at the home of her loving son, Gary on Monday, August 20, 2018. She was the daughter of Wesley Harvey, Sr. and Ethel Ralph Knighten. Mrs. Crutchfield was a member of Flint Creek Baptist Church in Vinemont, Alabama. She worked at Cullman Lingerie in the late 1940s and 1950s, was a loving wife, mother & grandma, and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by two sons: Gary Dale Crutchfield and his wife, Lisa of Sidney, Ohio, Reverend Randy Crutchfield and his wife, Lisa of Madison, Indiana; one daughter, Tina Cruger and her husband, Mark of Gulf Breeze, Florida; six grandchildren; Charles, Alicia & Patricia Cruger, Jessica Crutchfield, Ansley Crutchfield and Elizabeth Cambell; one great grandson, Chester Hughes; and a host of nieces, including two special nieces, Montez and Genevieve, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 64 wonderful years, Troy A. Crutchfield, who died on January 16, 2011; four brothers: Jessie, Ralph, Harvey, Jr. and Alton Knighten; and three sisters: Mamie Oden, Susie Shoemaker and (infant) Ruth Knighten. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 11:00 AM CST at Flint Creek Baptist Church, Vinemont, with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. CST at the Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, 461 US-278, Cullman, Alabama.
