Mr. Floyd A. "Beetle" Bladen, age 78, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Thomas N. and Irene (Goins) Bladen, was born on April 12, 1943, in Bethlehem Township, Indiana. He grew up near Marble Hill and after graduating from high school, he began working at Reliance Electric, where he worked for 40 years until his retirement on May 1, 2005. In his spare time, he enjoyed watermelon, golf-carting, watching Gunsmoke, hanging out by the fire, and camping at The Hills. He was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill Post #9, American Legion, the VFW Post 1969, and the Madison Moose Lodge #524. Mr. Bladen passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his children: Becky Bladen, of Madison, Teri Bladen and her husband, Brett, of Ogden, Utah, and Kris Bladen and his companion, Carmen Curl, of Madison; his sisters: Martha Barton, Darlene Priddy, and Thelma Youngblood, all of Madison; and his grandchildren: LaRose Nicolas, Jarod "Ray-J" Bladen, and Autumn Bladen; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Chester Lee Bladen, Dorothy Dean, Ruby Dean, Robert Bladen, Ann Welch, Bea Perkinson, Zeda Meadows, David Bladen, and Aubrey "Ron" Bladen.
At this time, no services will be held. Private inurnment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
