Fred Redwine, Sr. Obituary

Fred Robert Redwine, Sr., age 87, of Rexville, Indiana, and the son of the late Walter and Marjorie (Hall) Redwine, was born on December 12, 1937, in Muncie, Indiana. He joined the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country as military police. On September 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Patricia "Pat" (Morrison) Redwine in Butler, Pennsylvania, and they enjoyed 50 wonderful years together. He had worked several different jobs as a machinist until finding one that he liked at Cincinnati Incorporated. At the age of 55, Fred retired and raised cattle on his farm in Rexville. About the only thing important enough to Fred to get him off the farm was his grandkids and their sporting events. He had a sport in mind for each kid that they were going to "make it big," and he supported them all as if they would.

Fred grew up a fan of the Cleveland Browns, but later in life grew smarter and supported the Cincinnati Bengals. He loved having his family around him and would utilize the army of grandsons when it came time to put hay up each year. The character taught on that piece of land to each of those boys is second to none. He could do anything - rebuild any engine, cut down any tree, run any piece of equipment, dig ponds, and even build houses. Later in life, Fred spent his days watching sports, Fox News, and occasionally a western movie. He was a member of the American Legion in Versailles and Rising Sun, Indiana. Fred was a hardworking, tenacious man who always found a way to get by and never missed a chance to be around his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Mr. Redwine passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the St. Elizabeth's Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

His life will be cherished by his son, Freddie Redwine; his daughters: Lois and Tracy Redwine; his grandsons: Brandon Redwine, Brett Redwine, Ryan Redwine, Josh Redwine, Matt Disbro, D.J. Disbro, Colt Disbro, Jeremy Eaton, and Brandon Cope; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Redwine; his son, Bart Redwine; and his brothers: Pete Redwine and Jim Redwine.
