Gene Howard Robertson

Life story Gene H. Robertson, age 76. our beloved brother of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. He was born September 24,1940 in Loyall, Kentucky at home, the son of William and Lucille Howard Robertson. He graduated Harlan High School in 1958 and Union College in 1962. He taught art and English in several places, mostly at Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana, from where he retired in 1995. He had lived in Madison for many years. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Chuck Schell of Moon Township, Pennsylvania; one brother, Scott Robertson and Norma Carroll of Troy, Ohio; and his good friend and caretaker, Steve Humes of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joann Petry and two brothers, Bill and Charles Robertson. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Gene's name to the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
