James R. Hedges

March 14, 1945 ~ January 23, 2023 (age 77) 77 Years Old


James R. Hedges, age 77, of Milton, Kentucky, and son of the late Emmett and Norma (Samples) Hedges, was born March 14, 1945, in Shelby County, Kentucky. He was united in matrimony to the former Sandra (Banta) Hall on April 22, 2010 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a Contractor and owner of JR Hedges Enterprises and owned and operator of the former J & L Supply in Carrolllton, Kentucky. He was a former member of the Carrollton Moose Lodge, Carrollton American Legion, and Madison Elks Lodge. Mr. Hedges passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home.

His life will be cherished by his wife Sandra of 12 years of Milton, KY; his children: James "Tiny" (Jerri) Hedges of Carrollton, Jamie (Robbie) Jump of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Lori Hedges of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, David Sides, Peggy Voris of Madison, Christy (Wade) Troxell of New Castle, Kentucky, and Sharon Troxell of LaGrange, Kentucky; his several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Hall; and siblings: Arnold Hedges, Harold Hedges, Loretta Phillips, Joyce Peach and Douglas Hedges.

In accordance with his wishes, there will not be funeral services.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Kentucky Humane Society. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
