Janice Layne (Bickers) Morris

Janice Layne Morris, age 75, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of William and Agnes (Holt) Bickers, was born on October 17, 1949, in Madison. She was united in marriage to Larry Lee Morris and they were blessed with three sons: David Scott, Larry Michael, and Greg Allan. Janice worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Madison State Hospital for over 30 years and attended Manville Christian Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, working in her flower beds, crocheting, and going on day-trips with her friends. Mrs. Morris passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Aperion Care of Hanover.

Her life will be cherished by her son: Greg Allan Morris and his wife, Tracy of Madison; her sister: Cathy Wood and her husband, Bill, of Milton, Kentucky; her brother: William Thomas "Tom" Bickers, of Madison; her grandchildren: Bradley Morris and his wife, Markanda Baugh of Greenfield, Indiana, Brent Morris and his wife, Leah of New Castle, Indiana, and Paige Morris of Louisville, Kentucky; her great-grandchildren: Maverick and Charlotte Morris; and several nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Morris, and her sons: David Scott Morris and Larry Michael "Mike" Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison. Friends and family may visit at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
