Life story Janis Diann (John) Petscher, age 75, of Madison, Indiana was born on June 27, 1945, in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Fred and Jane (Heister) John. She attended Plymouth High School and then Indiana University where she was cheerleading captain and member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. She remained an avid IU fan and rarely missed a football or basketball game. She was united in marriage to John Wilson Petscher on June 15, 1968, in Plymouth, Indiana. Their marriage was blessed with four children. She devoted her life to her husband and children and was an integral part of her husband's veterinary practice. Her passion was always for animals, especially her horses. She passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at her residence, with her children by her side, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her life will be cherished by her children: Dr. Jennifer Roney and her husband, Jay, Julie Stewart and her husband, David, Dr. Joy Barron and her husband, Matthew, and John Jacob Wilson Petscher and his companion, Courtney Bradley; her grandchildren: Liam, Kyle, Annalise, Owen, Audrey, Benjamin, and Julian; her sister: Karen Morgan and many other family and friends.
