Jerry Sizemore, age 63, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Sigal and Allie (Caudill) Sizemore, was born on February 8, 1959, in Woodbine, Kentucky. On March 1, 1978, he enlisted in United States Army and faithfully served this country untiil he was honorably discharged on October 4, 1984. On November 18, 1999, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Sizemore in Bedford, Kentucky, and they enjoyed 22 wonderful years together. He was a truck driver and had worked in construction throughout the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping on the weekends, and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1969, Madison. Mr. Sizemore passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his wife, Phyllis of Madison; his step-children: George Ferguson, Jr., of North Vernon, Indiana, and Melissa Nelson, of Butlerville, Indiana; his sisters: Lillie Roeseler and her husband, William, Sallie Adams, Marty Robertson and her husband, Joseph, and Helen Creech, all of Madison; and his brother: David Sizemore and his wife, Mae of Shelbyville, Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Elmer Sizemore, Tom Sizemore, John Sizemore, Burton Sizemore, and Jesse Combs; his sister: Lula A. Banks; and his brothers-in-law: Bob Adams and Jay Creech.
The Honor Guard of American Legion, Major Samuel Woodfill Post #9, will conduct funeral honors at 2:00 PM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
