Jewell (Willett) Ortiz

Jewell "Judy" Ortiz, 75, of Madison, Indiana, and daughter of the late Earl and Sara (Webb) Willett, was born March 2, 1947, in Madison, Indiana. She was united in matrimony to Carmelo "Chico" Ortiz Santiago. She was a housekeeper for the Hillside Inn and President Madison Hotel. She was a great mother and grandmother. Mrs. Ortiz passed away February 25, 2023 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.

Her life will be cherished by her children: Lisa Ortiz of Madison and Jennifer Cox of Freeburg, Illinois; her sister: Delores Greenwell of Fort Pierce, Florida; her grandchildren: Jessica Perkinson, Rebecca Lynn McMahon, Alexis May McMahon; her great-grandchildren: Mikey, Adelynn, and Jonathon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her sister, Jean Audrey Taylor; her brothers, Kenny Allen Willett and Harlin Lee Willett; and her great granddaughter, Victoria Nicole Johnson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
