Joan Leslie Hartman

Joan "Petey" Leslie Hartman, age 75, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late John Hartman and Betty Neurhor, was born on August 11, 1947, in Dearborn County, Indiana. Petey loved to have fun and was always up for a good joke. Her big, soft heart loved the comforting things in life. She always enjoyed a relaxing soak in the tub with her bath bombs, a quiet peaceful drive through the state park, some good chocolate with a cup of coffee, and snuggling with her comfy stuffed cat. She enjoyed looking at pretty things and listening to music, especially Motown Music. She looked forward to dressing up each year on Halloween and loved getting her hair and nails done. Ms. Hartman passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Hickory Creek at Scottsburg in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Her life will be cherished by her friends and caretakers: Shanna Hewitt, Debbe Staker, Laura, Cassie, Abby, Tara, Missy, April, Jenny, Brooklyn, Stephanie, and Melissa.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2022 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
