Joseph William Storie

Life story Joseph William Storie, age 57, of Madison, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana. He was born August 5, 1959 in Madison, the son of Elbert V. and Kathryn L. Carlow Storie. Mr. Storie retired from Grote Industries after twenty-seven years of service. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Madison Moose Lodge. He enjoyed working at Grote, walking his dog and spending time with friends. He will be sadly missed by two brothers, James Storie of Madison and Charles E. Todd of Savannah, Georgia; his uncle and aunt, Paul and Margaret Carlow of Madison; one niece, Emily Martin and her husband, Rick of Madison; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in 1959; his mother, Kathryn Storie Todd in 2011; one sister, Kathy Storie Wells; one brother, John Robert Storie; and grandparents, Howard and Mary Carlow. Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 W. Main Street, Madison. Funeral services and interment in Brooksburg Cemetery will be private. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
