Judy Lee Durand, age 78, of Milton, Kentucky, and the daughter of the late Russell Lee and Thelma Catherine (Anderson) McCord, was born on November 3, 1942, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Walton Verona High School. On July 18, 1960, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Norman Durand in Bedford, Kentucky, and they enjoyed thirty-four wonderful years together until his passing. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker and often helped on the farm. Earlier in life, she was a car hop waitress, sold Avon for many years, and worked in the Jay C Store Deli.
She was a member of the Corn Creek Baptist Church and the Homemakers Club of Milton. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids. She loved old cars, especially Thunderbirds, and was a yard sale fanatic. Ms. Durand passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Richwood Nursing & Rehab in La Grange, Kentucky.
Her life will be cherished by her children: John Russell Durand and his fiance, Sandy Drew of Milton, and Travis James Durand and his wife, Tennille of Carrollton, Kentucky; her brothers: Russell "Junie" McCord, of Verona, Kentucky, and Eddie McCord of Verona; her grandchildren: Taja White of Milton, Jesse Durand of Carrollton, Tori Durand of Madison, Madelyn Durand of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Lucas, Isaac, Callie, and Harper Durand, all of Carrollton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Norman Durand who passed away on October 17, 1994; and her sister: Carolyn Coyle.

Ted Stucker will conduct funeral services at 12:00 PM Saturday December 26, 2020 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in the Corn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.
