Life story Kathy Lynn Martin, age 63, of Milton, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 13, 1953 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Rollie and Marjorie (Cotty) Mitchell. Mrs. Martin formerly owned and operated Kathy's Kitchen in Milton, and managed the kitchen at the VFW Post # 1969 in Madison. She also worked as a waitress at the former Steer Restaurant in Madison, and was currently employed in the housekeeping department of King's Daughters' Hospital. She was a member of the VFW Post #1969 and American Legion Post #9, Madison. She enjoyed cooking and working. On November 11, 1999, she married Garry Lee Martin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She will be sadly missed by her husband; one daughter, Jeannie Newman and her husband, Tyler of Greenwood, Indiana; three sons: Colby Brown and his wife, Kim of Clarksville, Indiana, Shane Weldishofer of Plant City, Florida, and Buster Halcomb, Jr. of Jasper, Indiana; two step-daughters: Angela Cox and her husband, Bill of Hamilton, Ohio, and Jennifer Craig and her husband, David of Scottsburg, Indiana; two step-sons: Allan Martin and his wife, Aurora of Westchester, Ohio, and Scott Martin of Milton; one sister, Nina Mitchell of Bedford, Kentucky; one brother, Ronnie Mitchell of Nashville, Tennessee; one half-sister, Betty Paul of Canaan, Indiana; and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Gary Mitchell. No services are planned. Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
