Larry Jaussaud Obituary

Life story Larry Jaussaud, age 83, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Fred and Marie (Rainwater) Jaussaud, was born on November 12, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana. He attended seminary and enjoyed traveling while completing his studies. He was ordained as a Priest in 1963 and faithfully served the church until 1970. Over the years, he worked in the foster grandparent program at the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center and later in the kitchen at the Madison State Hospital, where he eventually retired in 2002. He was united in marriage to the former Debbie Quick in January 2001. He enjoyed volunteering at the end-of-the-month meals at the Madison State Hospital, cooking, fishing, reading cookbooks, and watching cooking shows. Mr. Jaussaud passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. His life will be cherished by his wife, Debbie of Madison; his children: Shannon Jaussaud, of Madison and Erin Jaussaud, of Indianapolis, Indiana; his sisters: Elizabeth Miller, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his brothers: David Jaussaud, of Louisville, Kentucky and Michael Jaussaud, of Indianapolis; his grandchildren: Gabriel Hatton, Michael Shipp, Jayla Perry, Maleah Perry, Brielle Perry, Niyah Perry, Lucky Blakemore, Jordan Blakemore, and Jamisha Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Jaussaud, and his sister, Nancy Jaussaud. Friends and family may gather at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's Hilltop from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2020. The family requests memorial contributions be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes or below.
