Loretta Sue (Martin) Anderson, age 69, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Robert D. and Norma Pauline (Beck) Martin, was born on March 22, 1952, in Paris, Illinois. At the age of three, her family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where they resided until they moved to Hanover, Indiana when she was in the tenth grade. She was a 1970 graduate of Southwestern High School and went on to obtain an associate's degree from Ivy Tech Community College. On October 3, 1970, she was united in marriage to Grover R. Anderson in Kent, Indiana, and this union was blessed with five children: Grover D., Jon, Tonia, Joshua, and Jason. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker and was the bookkeeper at the Andersons' family businesses. In her spare time, she loved to bowl, play cards, square dancing, attending her grandkids' activities, enjoyed her church families, and was a season ticket holder at Derby Dinner Playhouse. Ms. Anderson passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, where she chose to give the incredible gift of organ and tissue donation.
Her life will be cherished by her children: Grover D. Anderson and his wife, Deborah, of Madison, Jon Anderson and his wife, Lynette, of Lexington, Indiana, Tonia Cline and her husband, Josh, of Madison, Joshua Anderson and his wife, Jenni, of La Grange, Kentucky, and Jason Anderson and his wife, Susan, of Madison; her step-son: Thomas R. Anderson, of Madison; her brothers: Max Martin and his wife, Donna, of New Albany, Indiana, and Michael Martin and his wife, Cheryl, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren: Sarah Hale (Dallas), Rebekah Koehler (Brad), Adam Anderson, Elizabeth Cooper (Mark), Emily Applegate (Shane), Jonathan Anderson, Camille Crim (Forrest), Greggory Cline (Shaye), Mitchell Cline (Devin), Whitney Calvert (Trevor), Jacob Anderson, Clayton Anderson, Ashleigh Anderson, Nathan Anderson, and Kaylan Groves (Tyler); her great grandchildren: Ellie Hale, Berkley Cooper, Clay Applegate, Tinley Crim, Raylynn Crim, Callum Crim, Navy Cline, Auburn Cline, and Hunter Cline; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Reverend Mike Hamby & Reverend Chris Chavez will conduct memorial services at 6:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may visit at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday.
