Marilyn Kay Robinson, age 82, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Charles and Ora (Nielson) Hedges, was born on July 6, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. She was a 1958 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. On December 19, 1959, she was united in marriage to Clarence Nick Robinson at St. John's United Church of Christ in Madison. In 1959, she began working at Mite Federal Bank as a secretary for Don McCauley. A few years later in 1962, she went on to work at Madison Bank and Trust where she served until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed dancing and loved watching "Blue Bloods," "NCIS," and John Wayne movies. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ as well as the Madison Moose Lodge Auxiliary, where she served as secretary and helped organize dances. Mrs. Robinson passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the River Terrace Health Campus in Madison.
Her life will be cherished by her children: Melody Main and her husband, Richard of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Rob Robinson and his wife, Holly of Madison; her grandchildren: Heather Acton of Bedford, Indiana, and Jenna, Josey, Sydney, and Emersyn Robinson, all of Madison; her great grandchildren: Nick and Kilian Machinda, both of Bedford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 48 years, Clarence Nick Robinson who passed away on December 13, 2007.
Pastor Bob Hicks will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday December 1, 2022 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2022, and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
